Many events charge for access – typically CPD seminars are most common. We find many seminar producers are considering the idea of webcasting seminars – as a means of extending their reach, and of course market size (you’re selling to the whole world, not just those that can make it to the venue). However, the technical hurdles appear ominous: How do users log in? What technical knowledge to viewers need? How do we make a live video stream? Do we need to commit to a lengthy contract? All valid questions, and until each is answered, the decision to go ahead won’t be made. Our revenue share option is perfect in this case, it removes the risk and uncertainty, and for minimal cost.
To go ahead with a revenue share option, we need to discuss your requirements with you and come to an agreement on the percentage of revenue we each get; this will depend on various factors, such as entry cost and popularity of your event. We will look at your event, the marketplace you’re selling to, your proposed marketing strategy, and any factors that will drive viewers to your event (e.g. is there certification involved?). Once that’s done, we decide on our level of involvement – and that’s it!

- We answer all the technical questions – you just proceed with your event as you were originally planning. Think of us as providing more seats in the room – but they’re virtual seats. You manage ticket sales exactly the same as before, we manage online access.
- Minimal upfront cost – we ask for a nominal deposit to cover some basic costs such as transport (in some cases we will even waive that), but that’s the extent of your up-front commitment. You know that every ticket sold represents a fixed amount of revenue – and so do we. There are no additional costs to incur.
- We share the risk with you – if there is no real take up for your event, you haven’t lost much. If it’s more popular than you anticipate, then we all benefit. We’re betting on you making a success of it. All we ask is for a degree of transparency on the progress of ticket sales.
- Help with marketing your event – nobody knows your market as well as you, but we can help to spread the word on social media platforms.
